Job Description
Overview: The SAP ABAP FPM Developer plays a critical role in our organization by leveraging their expertise in SAP software development to enhance business processes and systems. This position is responsible for the design development testing and maintenance of SAP applications and workflows specifically focusing on Floorplan Manager (FPM) applications. As we continue to optimize our SAP environment the SAP ABAP FPM Developer will work closely with business stakeholders to ensure that the solutions delivered align with business needs and adhere to the highest standards of quality and performance. This role is integral to maximizing the efficiency of our operations driving innovation and providing our team with the tools necessary to achieve their objectives. The successful candidate will not only design and implement solutions but will also mentor junior team members and contribute to the overall strategy of our SAP landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance SAP FPM applications using ABAP programming language.
- Collaborate with business analysts to gather and analyze requirements.
- Design and implement technical specifications for FPM applications.
- Integrate backend services with front-end UIs using OData services.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure best practices and standards are followed.
- Perform unit testing and facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Troubleshoot issues in existing applications and provide timely resolutions.
- Document development processes technical specifications and user manuals.
- Stay updated on SAP technologies and best practices.
- Provide mentorship and support to junior ABAP developers.
- Engage in system upgrades and migration activities.
- Participate in project planning and estimation activities.
- Develop reports and analytics to monitor application performance.
- Ensure compliance with data protection laws and company policies.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the development team.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in SAP ABAP development.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Floorplan Manager (FPM).
- Strong understanding of OData protocol and Fiori applications.
- Proficient in data migration techniques within SAP.
- Experience with SAP GUI Web Dynpro and SmartForms.
- Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of SAP modules such as MM SD or FI is a plus.
- Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Certifications in SAP development or related fields are a plus.
