We are looking for a JRSS NOC Technician to work in Scott AFB IL supporting our client.
Clearance: Secret
Salary: $69000
Requirements:
- Must have DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security CE or equivalent) at start date.
- High school and 2-4 years of experience.
- Ability to work in a 24/7 operation.
- Experience with one or more of the following: alarm surveillance fault management LAN maintenance performance management.
- Expertise in one or more of the following: routers switches routing protocols CISCO Juniper MPLS.
- General understanding of network topologies.
- Must have an active DoD Secret security clearance.
Desired Experience and Skills:
- Tech control facility or cyber transport experience
- Circuit actions and vendor experience
- IP architecture experience
- Telco NOC inside or outside plant experience.
- Experience with MS Office suite i.e. Outlook Excel Word Access PowerPoint TEAMs
- Experience with one or more of the following: alarm surveillance fault management LAN maintenance performance management change management.
- Any additional certifications to include: CCNA JNCIA-Junos F5 Networks Certified Technical Specialist ITILv4.

- Must have DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security CE or equivalent) at start date.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation. While performing the duties of this job the employee will regularly sit walk stand and climb stairs and steps. May require walking long distance from parking to work station. Occasionally movement that requires twisting at the neck and/or trunk more than the average person squatting/ stooping/kneeling reaching above the head and forward motion will be required. The employee will continuously be required to repeat the same hand arm or finger motion many times. Manual and finger dexterity are essential to this position. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close distance depth perception and telling differences among colors. The employee must be able to communicate through speech with clients and public. Hearing requirements include conversation in both quiet and noisy environments. Lifting may require floor to waist waist to shoulder or shoulder to overhead movement of up to 20 pounds. This position demands tolerance for various levels of mental stress.
Job Duties:
- Execute network operations to include analysis of customer traffic across the MPLS and JRSS infrastructure.
- Perform real-time customer failover to restore services during scheduled and unscheduled outages and maintenance actions.
- Work directly with supported customers and peers to ensure maximum network availability to minimize or eliminate mission and operational impact.
- Proactively monitor network alarms across platform specific network management tools.
- Perform a variety of change management tasks which include hardware replacement software configurations and ASI management.
- Utilize incident management applications to document all aspects of reported outages/degradations isolations escalations and resolutions during the lifecycle of a service impacting network incident.
- Assess and identify resolutions to various network incidents and/or deficiencies leveraging knowledge in one or more of following: routers switches routing protocols MPLS VPN technologies IDS/IPS proxies packet capture network taps load balancing firewalls out-of-band management.
