Job Summary
Title: AV Installation Technician Level 2
Reports to: Director of Integration
Coordinates with: Integration and Project Management
Job Type: Integration and Project Management
Purpose and Scope: The AV Installation Technician is responsible for setting up installing operating testing and troubleshooting audio and video equipment and systems.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Set up and install equipment such as microphones sound speakers video screens projectors video monitors recording equipment connecting wires and cables for a variety of corporate and residential markets
- Install infrastructure cabling for data phone and AV according to designated layout
- Test audio video and sound systems according to designated layout
- Program control systems
- Diagnose and correct media system problems
- Coordinate audio feeds with television images
- Identify equipment requiring repairs as needed
- Identify alternative solutions to onsite installation issues.
- Compile technical documents such as Serial Numbers and Warranties
- Train End Users on AV equipment
- Review Punch Lists with Project Manager prior to departure to Job site and again before leaving Job site.
- Provide Job specific feedback to Project Manager
- Complete Project Documentation as provided by Project Manager
- Pick up shipments of product/equipment as needed per Job
- Train Level 1 Technicians on building and installing equipment
- Ability to be the point person on a Job Site and assign duties to other Technicians as needed
- Load and unload work vehicles with product for the project
- Perform duties on location as assigned
- Company paid travel required (including weekends)
Education & Skills:
- High School Diploma
- Valid Drivers License
- Advanced knowledge of AV industry
