Job Description
Role Summary:
NearSource is looking for a seasoned Java Backend Engineer with expertise in Spring Boot and Microservices architecture. Join our engineering team working on a project with a Fortune 500 client where youll contribute to scalable backend solutions and enterprise-grade API services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop maintain and optimize backend applications using Java and Spring Boot
- Architect and design backend systems with scalability and maintainability in mind
- Implement and manage RESTful APIs for seamless integration with the frontend and external systems
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers
- Diagnose and resolve production issues ensuring application reliability and performance
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Contribute to the evolution of CI/CD pipelines and software delivery practices
- Create and execute unit and integration tests to maintain code quality
- Integrate industry best practices into development workflows
Must-Have Skills:
- Proficient in Java backend development using Spring Boot and Microservices
- Hands-on experience with RESTful API design and development
- Deep understanding of backend architecture principles and optimization techniques
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins CircleCI)
- Skilled in Git and build tools such as Maven or Gradle
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in complex scenarios
- Self-driven with a high degree of ownership and accountability
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g. Docker Kubernetes)
- Exposure to monitoring and logging frameworks (e.g. ELK Prometheus)
- Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or Azure
