Job Description
Job Summary:
Our client is a fast-growing e-cigarette company based in Malaysia seeking a meticulous and experienced Accountant to join the finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations including bookkeeping tax compliance financial reporting and cost control ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting & Management:
1. Handle full-set accounting including recording and reconciling revenue costs expenses assets and liabilities.
2. Prepare monthly and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet P&L Cash Flow) in compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS).
3. Manage bank accounts including reconciliation payments and receivables monitoring.
Tax Compliance:
1. Accurately compute and timely file Corporate Income Tax (CIT) Sales & Service Tax (SST) Withholding Tax and other statutory submissions.
2. Ensure compliance with LHDN (Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia) regulations to mitigate tax risks.
Cost Control & Analysis:
1. Monitor inventory procurement and operational costs analyze variances and propose cost-saving measures.
2. Assist in budgeting and conduct monthly/quarterly financial analysis to support management decisions.
Requirements:
1. Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
2. Minimum 5 years of accounting experience; prior exposure to e-cigarette FMCG or trading industries is a plus.
3. Solid knowledge of Malaysian tax laws and MFRS.
4. Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel.
5. Detail-oriented proactive and able to work independently or collaboratively.
