Job Description

NACE Level I Certified Insulation Inspector

Perform quality control and/or quality assurance at industrial coatings projects by reviewing and implementing specs/standards/plans conducting regular inspections and communicating with the work crew.

  • Follow all Policies and Procedures Austin Communicate with the Supervisor on Material Issues/Safety Issues.
  • Inspect with an eye for deviations and defects from specifications
  • Reject anything that does not meet with company standards.
  • Observe production operations to ensure that specifications are being met and to make or order necessary adjustments to ensure task specifications are met.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively when reporting issues and defects.

Physical Demands The physical demands described here requires the inspector to perform the physical inspections at elevated heights both on the interior and exterior of the water storage tank. Therefore personnel would be required to have applicable climbing and/or fall protection training and the applicable PPE. Access to the areas being inspected is strictly accessed by means of fixed ladders elevated walking platforms and swing-stage scaffolds.

Qualifications Required for this Position:

Education no minimum education requirements.

Experience 3 years experience as a Painting & CUI Inspector in plant inspection. Experience in NDE methods. Experience with NACE SSPC AMPP relevant ASTM and OSHA standards along with general accepted practices performed during in industrial coatings projects.

License/Certification - Valid Drivers License TWIC Card and NACE (for Coating Inspectors) certification required.
