Job Title: Assoc Mechanical Engineer

Job Description:
The mechanical engineer is involved in a multi-functional team on the hangar floor with coordinating the design modification maintenance and repair of aircraft structures mechanical systems and mission equipment installations. The engineer applies basic engineering design and/or analytical theory with understanding of structural analysis for solving problems of various types and complexities. The role includes supporting the transition from engineering design to manufacturing assembly and aircraft installation of designed products. The engineer is expected to be decisive and manage multiple tasks at any time. This position includes application of principles supporting aircraft life cycle maintenance (assessment repair rework and designing replacement parts). Liaison/Sustainment engineers have the opportunity to work closely with several functional organizations on a wide variety of tasks and aircraft systems on various aircraft platforms. The engineer understands customer needs and is ready to communicate engineering rationale for decisions. This position requires significant personal interaction with many diverse organizations (aircraft mechanics manufacturing program management customer representatives and other engineering disciplines).

In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role in California Massachusetts New Jersey Washington and the Greater D.C Denver or NYC areas is $67000.00 MIN - $123500.00 MAX. The salary range for this role in Colorado state Hawaii Illinois Maryland Minnesota New York state and Vermont is $58000.00 MIN - $ is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
