Cordia Resources is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Ledger Accounting Manager to lead and support the general ledger and month-end close processes. This role will oversee a team of accounting staff and play a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting resolving discrepancies and supporting audit readiness. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting knowledge leadership skills and a hands-on approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the general ledger and manage the month-end close process Perform and review variance analysis and resolve discrepancies in account balances Supervise the accounting team and provide guidance and development Maintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules and ensure proper accounting treatment Support intercompany transactions and consolidation of financial statements Assist with the preparation of audit schedules and coordinate audit requests Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required CPA a plus Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience including supervisory experience Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and general ledger accounting principles Experience with fixed assets and consolidations Proven ability to lead a team and manage multiple priorities Excellent analytical communication and organizational skills Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
