The Sales Manager will lead the sales team to achieve revenue targets expand the customer base and strengthen client relationships. This role demands a proactive leader with excellent communication skills strong business acumen and the ability to drive sales growth through strategic planning and effective team management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets and market share objectives.
• Manage mentor and motivate the sales team to improve performance and ensure achievement of sales goals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
• Identify new business opportunities and markets to expand the company’s footprint.
• Monitor sales metrics and analyze performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with marketing operations and product teams to align sales strategies with business goals.
• Prepare sales forecasts budgets and reports for senior management.
• Lead negotiations and close deals with major clients
. • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations related to sales
. • Stay updated on industry trends competitor activities and market conditions.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration Marketing or a related field (MBA preferred).
• 5-7 years of experience in sales preferably in logistics forwarding or related industries.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong leadership team management and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
• Analytical mindset with proficiency in sales tools and CRM software.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience managing a sales team in the forwarding or logistics division.
• Knowledge of the Chennai market and regional business environment.
• Familiarity with ERP and CRM systems such as Salesforce.
• Strong customer focus and problem-solving skills.
