Are you looking for a new interesting opportunity in finance For a finance business partner role for a fast-growing business in a dynamic team with the opportunity to make a true impact on the business Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Finance Manager (FM) supporting the AWS Sales team for the Start Up customer segment. This is an exciting opportunity to join this successful business which is one of the fastest-growing businesses within Amazon. As an FM you will partner closely with business leaders and their teams providing strategic support by combining data and business judgement into insights generating operational and strategic guidance and impact. Further you will drive innovation to improve our tools processes and business decisions. Primary responsibilities include:
Key job responsibilities
Ownership of key reporting metrics (KPIs) and narratives to help business partners understand the business performance
Partner with business teams to implement new processes & tools and drive the improvement of existing processes & tools
Provide strategic support to key business initiatives and investment
Present financial summary and business insights to senior management
Drive short- and long-term financial planning
Tighten internal controls
- Bachelors degree in engineering statistics or business or a Bachelors degree and experience in quantitative role (engineering process re-engineering quality assurance)
- Experience in tax finance or a related analytical field
- Experience in multiple finance and accounting roles
- Experience in accounts receivable or account payable
- Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
- Experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making
- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
- Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results
- MBA or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience in identifying incomplete or inaccurate data identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan
- Experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models analysis and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g. financial savings operational improvements or customer benefits)
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting budgeting and variance analysis and data interpretation of results
