About the Role:
The Wastewater ProcessAnalyst Iwillbe responsible formonitoring andoptimizingone or more processes at thetreatmentplantunder the guidance of supervisory or senior staff. Example processes include liquids treatment solids treatment odor control gas handling and Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) treatment. The Wastewater ProcessAnalystwill also support capital project review/implementation energy and chemical conservation initiatives and the completion of regulatory tasks and reports. The Wastewater ProcessAnalystwill become an expert on the plantsvarious regulatory documents(e.g.Municipal Wastewater Puget Sound NutrientCSO Consent Decree and air permits) and help convey the requirements to plant leadership operators and maintenance workers.

About the Team:
The Wastewater Treatment Division (WTD) protects water quality and public health in the central Puget Sound region by providing high quality and effective treatment to wastewater collected from our local sewer agencies.WTD serves about 2 million people within a 424-square-mile service area which includes most urban areas of King County and parts of south Snohomish County and northeast Pierce County.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Possession of a Washington State Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Group I certificate (or ability to achieve the Group I within 18 months of hire).
