Our Technical Advisory and Capability (TAC) practice and Team Downer serves as one of the Major Service Providers delivering consulting services and Integrated Work Packages across the Department of Defence leveraging innovative approaches such as mission and digital engineering to enable the successful delivery of critical Defence programs. This includes engagement with key areas across Defence including Defence Digital Group (DDG) Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) and the Navy Army and Air Force.

We are currently seeking Technical Advisors for a major Defence information environment modernisation program aimed at delivering the design build and deployment of their cutting-edge ICT successful in your application your responsibilities will be:

• Conduct Radio Risk Reduction Tests to assess Tactical Communications Network performance.
• Maintain and develop RF tactical network infrastructure for Land and Joint projects.
• Provide integration and evaluation support for tactical radios waveforms and encryption technologies.
• Perform bench-level testing and installation to ensure radio interoperability and functionality.
• Offer technical guidance on emerging tactical waveforms and interoperability solutions.

This role is based in Canberra ACT. Our work is highly complex and confidential applicants must be Australian citizens with a minimum NV2 security clearance. Additionally compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may be necessary. In some cases this may impose restrictions individuals who are dual citizens permanent residency or former nationality of specific countries as outlined in ITAR 126.1.

We are seeking candidates with defence industry experience in the follow areas:

• Extensive experience within secure ICT systems in the Defence domain.
• A detailed understanding of the One Defence Capability System policy and processes.
• High order organisational oral and written communications skills.
• High order stakeholder management skills (internal and cross-organisation).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
