ROLE SUMMARY
The I&I & SC Medical Affairs Operational Excellence Secondee will be an integral member of the Global & US Medical Affairs Teams and the Operational Excellence Team.
The I&I & SC Medical Affairs Operational Excellence secondee will support the development and implementation of key assigned Global / US category-led initiatives that have an impact on multiple Medical Affairs stakeholders and combine organizational project management financial excellence and understanding of Medical Affairs strategic priorities with the goal of seamless execution of medical plans.

The role reports to the I&I & SC Medical Affairs Operational Excellence Team Lead with strong dotted line to the Global and/or US Specialty Care Medical Affairs Team Leads and closely collaborates with the Global Medical Affairs and US Categories Medical Affairs colleagues Operational Excellence Colleagues and cross functional partners.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic and Organizational Alignment and Initiatives
Supports the assigned Asset(s) to drive alignment and coordination of goals priorities and efforts across Medical Affairs categories and asset teams and with other cross functional partners.
Project and Operational Support
Supports assigned Asset area activities/initiatives such as Ad Boards medical congresses and other projects including tracking key project deliverables overview of project schedules/timelines budgets and plans for project quality resources communications.
Serves as subject matter expert for applicable/assigned processes and provides operational support and/or guidance to teams as needed. Routinely identifies shares and implements best practices; ensuring consistency in overarching processes and systems.
Drives the creation/implementation of simple medical processes working with key stakeholders to support strategy and execution of Medical Affairs data generation/communication activities
Develops and maintains business relationships with key colleagues (Finance Contracts & Outsourcing Compliance and Operational Excellence) to ensure ongoing alignment and efficiency.
Drives agendas builds presentations and supports facilitation of Medical Team meetings ensuring minutes and actions are recorded and distributed.
Develops and leads tracking and analysis of performance / activity measurements (metrics) as appropriate.
Collaborates with key internal stakeholders and other Operational Excellence colleagues for consistency and alignment.
Financial Management / Tracking for Asset and/or Field Medical
Supports overall financial management and forecasting with limited oversight for assigned Asset area budget working with finance Medical Leads and other Medical team members as necessary
Partner with Legal Procurement finance and external customers to develop and execute consultant agreements service level agreements program schedules and Confidential Disclosure Agreements and lead various project management financial activities to ensure timely & compliant invoice routing and approval
Supports project / program budget plan for Asset to provide management with accurate YTD budget spend.
Provides financial guidance and serves as a resource for questions.
Collaborates with Medical Finance and Financial Systems teams (including the Portfolio on Demand (POD) team) to ensure accurate forecasting and budget management.
Supports development of the Asset Operating Plan.
Supports Operating Plan process for assigned Asset.
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers and drive operational excellence to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required with 6 years of experience in Pharmaceutical industry or related fields; Advanced degree (e.g. masters) highly preferred with 6 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry or related fields.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in working in Medical Affairs organization is essential and experience in other medical/clinical functions desirable.
Prior experience in Project Management Business Operations.
Understanding and adherence to Project Management methodologies.
Demonstrated results in creating and managing complex projects including experience in budgetary management and fiscal awareness.
Cross functional effectiveness: Ability to effectively collaborate across multiple functions including Medical (Customer Facing and HQ) Medical Information Corporate Communications Digital and Commercial.
Ability to manage resources programs and multiple projects.

Very strong communications and relationship building capacity and ability to listen understand and integrate country and local needs into global co-created medical strategies and plans.
Leading effectively in a matrix and able to communicate and work effectively with all levels of management.

Excellent at attention to detail and follow-up skills.
Knowledge of Pfizer systems including POD Ariba BOD Navigator Plus.
Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel Word PowerPoint and Teams.
