Reports to: Director of Accounting
Direct Reports: None
Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years as an Accounting Assistant
Provide accounting and clerical support to the Accounting Department
Prepare and process bank deposits
Record track and match purchase orders with invoices
Verify and record vendor information accurately
Prepare invoices for monthly billing and process payments
Prepare and distribute year-end 1099 forms
Maintain and update vendor and tenant records
Assist in preparing monthly financial statements including:
Reviewing accounts payable coding
Posting accounts receivable entries
General ledger review and journal entry posting
Code and process vendor invoices and accounts payable
Track and file certificates of insurance from vendors and tenants
Create and maintain organized vendor files
Perform lease abstracting and enter competitive data into the database
Complete other duties and projects as assigned
Solid understanding of accounting principles
Familiarity with basic office procedures
Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat Pro Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook
Strong time management communication and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Self-motivated with a collaborative team-oriented mindset
Demonstrate a positive professional attitude
Work cooperatively and effectively with all members of the Accounting team
