Controls Engineer (Early Career Opportunity)
Onsite Itasca IL Direct Hire $85000 $95000 Bonus Benefits
Join a stable privately-owned OEM that s been innovating for over 100 years. This is a great opportunity for an early-career electrical engineer ready to grow their skills in control system design PLC/HMI programming and on-site equipment commissioning.
What You ll Do

Design and develop electrical and control systems using AutoCAD Electrical.

Program PLCs HMIs and VFDs (preferably Rockwell/Allen-Bradley).

Manage external vendors building control panels.

Oversee custom projects from quoting through commissioning.

Travel to customer sites 20 to install troubleshoot and support systems.

Ensure systems meet UL/CE standards and safety regulations.

Work closely with production teams to improve performance and reliability.
What We re Looking For
-
2 years of experience in industrial automation or machinery/equipment design.

Bachelor s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

Experience with PLCs VFDs and wiring schematics.

Knowledge of UL/CE safety standards.

Familiar with AutoCAD or DraftSight.

Must be local or willing to relocate (onsite role no remote).
