Job Description
This is a remote position.
Job Title: Electrical Engineer (Solar PV Projects)
Location: Remote

Work Regime: Full-time & Remote
Overview / Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to support renewable energy projects remotely. The role involves analyzing technical documentation optimizing electrical layouts guiding CAD teams and performing energy yield assessments. You will also review subcontractor designs liaise with suppliers and produce key technical documentation for all project phases. This position is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills and experience in utility-scale energy systems.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Analyze technical documentation (RFPs RFQs tenders) with impact on electrical design.
- Interpret Power Systems team inputs including Grid Code and PoCC requirements.
- Optimize electrical designs from technical and financial perspectives.
- Guide the CAD team on plant layouts considering technical parameters and site constraints.
- Contribute to preliminary layouts and oversee electrical drawing development.
- Perform energy yield assessments using PVsyst and internal methodologies.
- Compare and analyze meteorological data and production estimates.
- Prepare single line diagrams (SLDs) and coordinate with Civil Engineering for capacity studies.
- Evaluate alternative engineering solutions for improved project efficiency.
- Review designs and calculations from subcontractors.
- Research electrical equipment and systems.
- Communicate with suppliers to assess technical solutions.
- Prepare bills of quantities and technical documentation (reports drawings O&M manuals).
- Create technical content for licensing EPC and execution phases.
Requirements
Mandatory Requirements:
- Degree or Master s in Electrical or Electrotechnical Engineering (specialization in Energy Systems preferred);
- Experience in electrical engineering specifically with solar photovoltaic panels;
- Proficiency in MS Office AutoCAD and electrical design software;
- Fluent in English;
- Comfortable working in the timezone GMT-4.
