We are looking for a passionate People Advisor to join our team for a 12-month period to cover Parental Leave.
As a People Advisor you will work closely with the Retail and Support Office People Team to provide coaching and support to leaders and team members within our Support Office and Distribution Centre in all areas of performance management employee assistance and people practices. Youll create connections build trust and make a real impact on our Workplaces Leaders and Team Members enabling them to serve and impact the lives of pets and their pet parents every day.
Your Role:
- Provide advice guidance coaching and support to leaders and team members within our Support Office and Distribution Centre in all areas of performance management employee assistance and people practices.
- Provide advice to colleagues and line managers on award/s interpretation the National Employment Standards and company policies and procedures.
- Provide assistance and support to team members on situations relating to leave work performance or other special circumstances as required.
- Lead the recruitment process for all Support Office positions including liaising with line management and external agencies as required.
- Coordinate and prepare employee lifecycle documentation as required including but not limited to letters of offer amendment letters salary review reference requests and other administration.
- Administer the Service Award Program for the organisation
- Work with the leaders to deliver sustainable self-sufficiency processes
- Keep up to date with changes in the relevant award/s and industrial relations laws and cascade this information to management when required.
- Assist in the review and analysis of company policies and practices to ensure they continue to support and align with the organisations vision purpose and values as well as current legislation.
- Provide general assistance to the General Manager People in the implementation of HR projects/programs.
Qualifications :
About You:
- A collaborator and someone who enjoys working as part of a team.
- Proven Human Resource experience preferably with multi-site experience.
- Professional services and/or retail experience will be highly regarded.
- A working knowledge of the relevant Acts Legislation Codes and Standards that affect employees.
- A demonstrated ability to be able to evaluate interpret and make recommendations on HR related information and data.
Also:
- Possess a love of animals.
- A demonstrated ability to work well in a team or autonomously as needed.
- Be able to demonstrate effective communication skills both verbal and written.
- Have the ability to be both empathetic and sympathetic to situations that may arise from time to time.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
- Organised and detail oriented.
Whilst this position is based at our Support Office in North Ryde you will be required to work from our Distribution Centre in Horsley Park once a week.
