Providing a unique two-to-three-year program for young people in Years 10 to 12 we aim to seamlessly blend senior education and vocational training to engage young people in purposeful learning experiences with real-world industry relevance.



Description

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Quality (Education) the key VET and RTO Manager role leads the delivery of high-quality innovative and compliant Vocational Education and Training (VET) programs across our schools.

Based in our Brisbane Head Office this role oversees daily RTO operations ensuring strong learning outcomes regulatory compliance and sustainable growth aligned with industry and organisational priorities to six Southeast Queensland schools and beyond.

Key Outcomes

  • Provide support to school-based teams by building capability offering expert guidance and managing compliance reporting credentialing and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory obligations while promoting consistent future-focused VET delivery.
  • Engage with industry and government stakeholders to maintain program relevance and quality.
  • Use data and internal audits to drive performance monitoring and continuous enhancement to support student success and workforce readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage RTO quality compliance review and reporting processes across The Industry School.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation regulatory frameworks and standards impactingVocational Education and Training (VET) and senior secondary education.
  • Ensure The Industry Schools quality assurance and reporting systems meet both state and national requirements including required auditing processes.
  • Collaborate with a range of stakeholders to deliver quality improvement initiatives.
  • Facilitate the professional development mentoring and vocational competency of VET teachers through the VET Community of Practice.
  • Coordinate the annual Learner Voice through Quality Indicator reporting ensuring insights are used toenhance learning experiences and service delivery.
  • Revise and update content in the Learning Management System (LMS) develop new content in the LMS and ensure existing content meets the requirements of any updated training packages.
  • Work collaboratively with the Education Quality team to extend the scope of the RTO as required

Skills And Experiences

About You

To be successful in this role you will bring the following skills and experience:

Essential:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or higher or TAE40110 including TAEASS502 and TAELLN411)
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a senior secondary education role with responsibility for compliance or quality assurance
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of ASQA requirements and the VET Quality Framework.
  • Experience using a Student Management System (SMS) and Learning Management System (LMS) and familiarity with the QCAA Portal.
  • Experience in developing effective and engaging content in a LMS appropriate to the requirements of secondary school students.
  • Experience with interpreting legislation standards and applying to the education context.
  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
  • Valid driver licence and right to work in Australia.
  • Ability to demonstrate The Industry School values.

Desirable

  • Bachelor or postgraduate qualifications in business secondary education educational leadership or related field.
