Job Description

NorthStar Memorial Group is seeking a Funeral Arranger to join our team at Greenwood Memorial Park and Mortuary. Responsibilities

  • Arrange and assist with funeral and memorial services for families
  • Carries out funeral or cremation arrangements from intake to final disposition
  • Ensures that all federal state and local regulations related to the funeral industry are followed
  • Maintain reverence and respect for the deceased at all times
  • Maintains respect for the deceased at all times while on the phone with families
  • Responsible for handling all aspects of the paperwork associated with the Funeral Arrangement for each family.
  • Facilitate the filing of the Death Certificates
  • Maintains the files logs and folders in a clear concise and accurate manner
  • Answers the phone using the NSMG principles of ECHO
  • Ensures that all forms of communications are used in keeping arrangers families and transfer services informed of the progress of all the cases
  • Maintain a high level of personal organization as the position requires multi-tasking within an ever-changing environment
  • Ability to handle phone calls from our Answering Service After Hours on a scheduled basis
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Manager.

Qualifications

  • A caring heart and a passion for helping the community in need
  • 2 years of funeral industry experience preferred but not required.
  • Bilingual is a plus
  • Professional communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a busy environment
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations in a professional manner

Compensation

  • $21.00 - $24.00/hr depending on experience. Monthly Incentives are available
