SAP BTP Hub the part of the SAP Adoption Services Centers is the trusted advisor for our customers to leverage SAP BTP in their transformation to become an Intelligent Enterprise. Jointly with our partner ecosystem we drive expansion through accelerated adoption and consumption of the BTP.

The BTP Services Portfolio is one of the largest and most strategic and important portfolios within SAP Customer Services & Delivery. In this role you will deal with one of the most important baskets in the BTP service portfolio development on the platform. These services will use SAP BTP to help companies develop new custom innovative applications and manage evolving business cases enhancing the existing solutions and keeping their S/4 core clean.

ROLE OVERVIEW AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Act as a development architect and consultant in SAP projects.

- Foster and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and clients continuously enhancing knowledge of SAP products.

- Work closely with product engineering and customer teams to design scalable solutions that meet client needs.

- Provide technical expertise and guidance on SAP solutions.

- Lead workshops gather business requirements and ensure technical solutions are aligned with business objectives.

- Manage the entire lifecycle of SAP BTP development solutions from conceptual design through implementation.

- Efficiently handle multiple tasks excel in a team environment and stay responsive to project and customer needs.

EDUCATION:

- University degree in Computer Science Engineering Information Systems Business Administration or a related field.

- Fluency in English; additional languages are advantageous.

DESIRABLE SKILLS AND EXPERTISE:

- Extensive experience with the core SAP development stack and standard web development technologies.

- In-depth understanding of SAP NetWeaver and SAP BTP platforms including their business value technical architecture and services.

- Proficiency in ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) development

- Expertise in BTP extension technologies such as Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) low-code/no-code platforms and Workflow Management is highly beneficial.

- Knowledge of HANA database features and experience with SQL.

- Familiarity with commonly used SAP BTP platform services like Audit Log HANA Cloud Notifications Cloud Foundry CI/CD SAP Business Application Studio Transport Management and Connectivity.

- Strong understanding of the software development life cycle and DevOps practices.

- Experience with automated software testing is a plus.

- Proficiency in Agile development methodologies including Scrum or Kanban.

- Preferred certifications: SAP BTP extension and/or SAP ABAP development.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including verbal written presentation and listening abilities.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

- 5 years of relevant work experience.

- Preferably experienced in client/customer interaction or custom development.

- Willingness to travel.
