Job Description
Legal Assistant - South Bend IN
8:00 am - 5:00 pm $19-22/hr
Job Duties:
- Supporting attorneys by managing legal docs ensuring deadlines are met & maintaining effective communication w/ clients opposing counsel & courts.
- Type review & edit legal docs
- File legal documents through Doxpop & other platforms
- Communicate w/ clients opposing counsel & courts via email letters & other means.
- Manage attorney & office calendars including scheduling appointments hearing & deadlines
- Monitor deadlines & ensure timely follow-ups
Requirements:
- Degree in Paralegal Studies Business or a related field
- Prior experience in a law office environment
- MS Suite (Word Excel Outlook) Adobe Acrobat & legal software suh as PracticeMaster & TABS
- Typing - 50 wpm
- Strong attention to details
- Able to handle multiple takes & meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
