Infrastructure Engineer
Onsite Location:Aurora CO
Required:TS/SCI with CI Poly
No 1099 No third parties no C2C No Visas or Green Cards No exceptions (Sorry)
W2 Hourly long term Contract to Hire Only
$70 - $99.50 per hour based on experience and benefits package

GeoLogics is seeking highly qualified motivated and technically talented Principal Platform Engineer / Linuxwith well-rounded Linux Infrastructure Engineering expertise to join an agile product team. The Ideal candidate will have experience in both traditional infrastructure design; provisioning of platform storage and networking resources for existing on-premise infrastructure hardware that ideally also has experience in emerging DevOps/DevSecOps & Modernized technologies. The Principal Platform Engineer would be engaged in the design and implementation of the system updates and upgrades with Focus on the Linux Server / Linux OS expertise and will interface both with the Programs Sr. Management and the Customer for Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) as required.
Qualifications Required
- Typically requires a BA/BS degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with emphasis in Computer Engineering Computer Science or Information Technology and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience
- An active and transferable TS/SCI / CI Poly U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Experience with Agile Development Methodologies (E.g. scrum SAFe)
- Experience with VMware
- Experience with programming languages (E.g. Python Java Ruby Bash C C# Go)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Linux LDAP for creating Linux based accounts and managing roles and permissions
- Experience with Linux Bash scripting for task automation and management of existing scripts
- Experience with modernization technologies such as Ansible Kubernetes Docker Rancher etc.
- Good understanding of Agile Development processes
- Notional experience with Windows & Windows Server OS General / Notional Experience in Networks; SAN/NAS designs and implementation
- Cisco IOS / Fiber Switch Familiarity
- Cisco Server Hardware / ILO Remote Management
- Sun Microsystems Server Management
Responsibilities:
- Be involved with development implementation of traditional compute/network/storage systems and related deployments as well as support improving the program platforms over-arching design through new emerging technologies. This includes existing operating systems and existing server hardware designs as well as supporting the design and development of new modernized system architectures.
- Leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to develop and communicate implementation of infrastructure solutions.
- Maintain existing systems through Linux Based Tools and manage the COTS stack on the system to support program needs.
- Assist to train up other Jr engineers to support the Program / team as needed to support program Operations.
- Assist with integration of the selected platform provisioning tool such as VMWare.
- be the focal point for the equipment room (lab) to ensure that all compute network and storage resources are properly allocated and maintained for the programs use.
- Ensure that the COTS stack and versioning is consistent across the platform; and will work with the team to make updates as necessary.
- Travel to customer sites to assist in system updates and deliveries when necessary.
