Job Description

Position: State Support Team (SST) Regional Mathematics SpecialistLocation: State Support Team Region 14 - Hopewell Center Southern Ohio Educational Service CenterGeneral Description: Region 14 State Support Team is recruiting a full-time consultant with expertise and a deep understanding of mathematics. SST14 provides professional development coaching technical assistance and disseminates information to school districts and parents in Clinton Highland Fayette Adams and Brown Counties. A successful candidate must have a valid Ohio Administrative License excellent customer service skills be outcome oriented strong attention to detail and the ability to be self-motivated to work in a fast-paced environment Qualifications:Must hold an Ohio teaching expertise in improving student learning through research- and evidence-based instructional strategies for knowledge of Ohios Plan for K12 Mathematics Ohio Learning Standards for Mathematics Standards for Mathematical Practice and Effective Mathematics Teaching delivering mathematics instruction within a Universal Design for Learning educational of differentiation of instruction through the use of high-quality instructional materials.A minimum of three to five years of successful classroom teaching experience in mathematics instruction across K-12 grade experience in designing and delivering professional learning and technical assistance designed to improve instructional practices for coaching and consulting skills to support teachers in implementing the Standards for Mathematical Practice and Effective MathematicsTeaching to analyze and apply student performance data including data for student groups including but not limited to students with disabilities toenhance instruction and curriculum working with administrators to implement systemic improvements in mathematics education particularly for students in lower-performing student understanding of integrated Multi-Tiered System of Supports (IMTSS) including Tier 1 core instruction and Tier 2 & 3 interventions with data-based pass a criminal background Drivers license and reliable transportation.
