Job Goal: To provide behavioral and learning support instruction and monitoring for children and youth with varied learning and behavioral Responsibilities:- Support the instructional and personal care needs of students with complex medical and educational profiles in alignment with their IEPs.- Modify and adapt materials under the direction of the special education teacher to support access to the curriculum.- Reinforce learning and support engagement with individual students or small groups both in the classroom and during non-academic activities.- Assist with daily living skills such as positioning feeding (excluding medical feeding methods) dressing toileting hygiene and mobility.- Implement behavior support plans consistently using positive reinforcement accurate prompting and data collection.- Monitor for signs of medical or behavioral distress and promptly alert appropriate staff.- Safely lift transfer and position students using appropriate equipment and techniques.- Maintain accurate records of student data behaviors and progress toward IEP goals.- Communicate regularly with team members and families through daily logs and meetings.- Apply instructional strategies including ABA methods as trained and directed.- Attend required trainings and professional development sessions.- Supervise and support students during school transportation as assigned.
