About The Opportunity
This on-site position offers a rewarding chance to deliver top-tier business services and tax compliance support while gaining hands-on experience in business advisory. You will report directly to the Principal and play a pivotal role in the firms client engagements. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and lodging BAS IAS and FBT returns with precision
- Investigating complex tax and compliance issues and liaising with the ATO
- Reviewing and refining client bookkeeping and payroll records for accuracy
- Assisting in delivering strategic business advisory and financial planning services
- Crafting insightful management reports and supporting business plan development
- Building meaningful client relationships through direct engagement via email phone and meetings
- Preparing detailed financial statements and tax returns across a variety of entities including individuals companies trusts SMSFs and partnerships
About You
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Proficiency in Xero MYOB and HandiSoft
- A completed tertiary qualification in Accounting
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive collaborative mindset with a hunger for growth
- Meticulous attention to detail and a talent for problem-solving
- 4 years of hands-on local experience in business services and taxation
- CA or CPA accreditation (or active pursuit thereof)
