Mount Saint Charles Academy is renowned for the quality of its band programs at the middle and high school levels as well as symphonic wind ensemble jazz band and string ensemble. It also offers hand bell and steel drum instruction. Mount seeks an inspiring music director/teacher for students in grades 6-12 helping students grow in their enjoyment appreciation and performance of music through a variety of planned music experiences including concerts festivals competitions and public performances. Music TeacherUtilizes repertoire of all types of music including traditional and contemporary that are appropriate for the ages and skill levels of opportunities for music ensembles and music ministryPlans rehearses and directs students and organizes and produces at least three musical programs for school and communityPlans a balanced music program and organizes daily class time so that preparation rehearsal and instruction can be accomplished within the allotted and refines music curriculum based on appropriate standards of creating performing and and maintains standards of student behavior to provide an orderly productive environment during practice group rehearsals and music each students musical growth and contribution to the performance of the group that allows everyone to care/responsibility for school-owned music musical instruments and equipment to prevent loss or a program which accommodates the musical needs of beginner and advanced instrumental/vocal students grades six through individual and small group instruction in order to meet the needs of music DirectorCooperation with administration in providing musical programs for special school events or school inventory and maintenance of all music uniforms and materials owned by the Music music instruments equipment and additional materialsAdministers the department budget in conjunction with the PrincipalAt the beginning of the school year informs all students and parents of dates for concerts parades and activities for the upcoming school responsible for proper supervision of students at concerts or other music related responsible for organizing and preparing students for the following state-run activities such as All State Solo & Ensemble or other festivals/parades.
