Key Responsibilities:
Leads and supports clinical operations quality improvement and staff development while ensuring compliance with standards and policies
Provides high-quality patient-centered medical care (minimum 16 hours/week) to individuals of all backgrounds including patients living with HIV
Deliver and document comprehensive medical care in accordance with clinical protocols and EMR guidelines
Oversee Quality Assurance and Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives reporting outcomes to leadership and the Board
Collaborate with COO to improve clinical workflows and operational efficiency
Supervise and support medical providers including performance management scheduling and professional development
Mentor nurse practitioners through consultations case reviews and training
Participate in provider recruitment orientation continuing education and retention efforts
Contribute to strategic planning budget development and policy formulation for the medical department
Ensure licensure DEA credentialing and privileging requirements are met and maintained
Represent the agency at meetings and events as needed
You Will Need:
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school & valid Alabama State License
Must be Board Certified or Board eligible in Family Practice or Internal Medicine or other full scope Primary Care Specialty with current DEA license CPR & ACLS certification
Ten (10) years of experience working with a community clinic is highly desirable
At least (5) years within a leadership and/or executive role with the ability to be a collaborative physician
Strong foundation in primary care with knowledge or willingness to learn management of HIV Hepatitis C and STIs and understanding of HIPAA regulations and dedication to patient confidentiality
Effective communication skills to build trust and encourage patient engagement and ability to work collaboratively with diverse patients caregivers staff and external agencies
Proficient in Microsoft Office and eClinicalWorks
