Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain aLevel 3 Youth Support Worker Apprenticeshipwhile working hands-on with students local organisations and community groups. Youll be at the heart of student-led initiatives that drive real change build confidence and develop employability skills.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Raise awareness and embed youth social action across our colleges.
  • Coordinate and support student-led community projects.
  • Build partnerships with local charities employers and organisations.
  • Empower students to take action on local issues and gain meaningful experience.
  • Promote inclusive opportunities that reflect the diverse needs of our student body.

What Were Looking For

  • Level 2 English and Maths (or willingness to achieve by End Point Assessment).
  • Experience of volunteering or mentoring.
  • Confident communicator with a passion for youth development.
  • Basic IT and social media skills.
  • Motivated proactive and committed to personal growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete an 18-month apprenticeship plus a 3-month End Point Assessment.
  • Lead and manage youth social action activities across two college sites.
  • Engage with students to understand their motivations and encourage participation.
  • Collaborate with local and national organisations to deliver impactful projects.
  • Act as a positive role model and ambassador for youth social action.

Lets Teach Programme
Lets Teach The LETs teach programme supports new members of teaching staff in terms of college systems and key teaching and learning areas including new staff lesson visits and postcard peeps. Each new member of staff has an allocated Lead Practitioner who works closely with them throughout the programme.

Lets Bloom
The LETs Bloom Programme aims to connect our experienced and qualified teachers to share best practice and support continued risk-taking as we continue to add depth to our teaching craft. Teachers volunteer on this one year programme working closely with the Learning Enhancement Team capturing their experimentation in a journal.
