DUTIES:Evaluates promotes and uses existing and emerging technologies to support teaching and learningUnderstands the schools curriculum so that he or she can develop a collection that coordinates with long-term teaching goals as well as current and emerging needsUtilizes a variety of interactive tools to provide services information and tutorials to the learning communityPromotes a love of reading and lifelong learningFosters a library/media center environment that is creative flexible active inviting collaborative and conducive the student and faculty learning so that the school library is an essential part of the learning communityProvides intellectual physical and virtual access to print and digital learning materials that are efficiently organized and conveniently stored according to accepted standardsDevelops and maintains resources appropriate to the curriculum the learners and instructional strategies of the school communityCurates information and resources in order to support the curriculum extracurricular activities faculty professional development and family engagementCooperates and networks with other libraries and related agenciesIn partnership with the Assistant Superintendent of Teaching & Learning establishes procedures for selection acquisition circulation and resource sharing of resources in all formats; and evaluates continually the currency quality depth and breadth of the collectionPromotes the ethical use of information: copyright fair use and licensing of intellectual propertyEncourages both formal and informal input from the school community into the types quality and format of the information resources providedManages scheduling in the library/media center spaceSALARY:Per the GEA Master Agreement Salary Schedule starting at $51282.
