JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist students therapeutically through the use of research based therapeutic practicesProvide individual and small group counseling to students. Provide therapeutic support within the therapeutic classroom and community settingsProvide case management and collaboration to and with families outside therapists and agencies across school and home consultation to staff to develop and implement classroom strategies and to integrate therapy and other forms of effective therapeutic assistance into other in Deeper Learning and Collaborative Problem-Solving programmingWrite professional reports develop Individual Education Programs (IEP) maintain data collection and employ research-based best practice strategies to demonstrate student progress and adjust student goalsRecognize the need for and provide assistance to students in an appropriately active milieu settingWork with expert consultants to identify and/or develop effective support systems for students and familiesParticipation in a mentor program that focuses on Positive Behavioral Intervention & Supports (PBIS) Social Communication Emotional Regulation Transactional Supports (SCERTS) Collaborative Problem-Solving (CPS) and Deeper Learning to offer trainings to staff or other community members on topics of interestRemain knowledgeable regarding Abuse and Neglect Reporting as a member of SCEC team and provide training to staffOther duties as CONDITIONS:Participation in mentoring/ training sessions across Collaborative programsOpportunities for job mobility: on-going career counseling; training opportunities; degree/ licensure programs; other professional development opportunitiesPost Job Offer Physical ExaminationSouth Coast Educational Collaborative encourages diverse applicants to apply
