About the Opportunity
We are offering a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced Embryologist within a leadership role to be at the forefront of reproductive science. As Head of Embryology at the Fertility Research Centre a prestigious collaboration between the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and the Local Health District you will play a pivotal role in shaping clinical excellence and driving groundbreaking research.

This is a full-time role that involves some shift work. We are seeking a motivated leader with demonstrated experience guiding teams through RTAC accreditation. A strong commitment to research is essential and a genuine passion for advancing fertility science will be highly valued. What we can offer you

  1. Higher degree (PhD Masters or Postgraduate diploma) in reproductive biology or equivalent qualification with subjects relevant to pathology from a recognised tertiary institution.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of ART laboratory experience inclusive of recent experience in a managerial and/ or supervisory role.
  3. Fully trained in all assisted reproductive technologies including ICSI and embryo biopsy for PGS.
  4. Demonstrated understanding and sound knowledge of RTAC accreditation frameworks relevant standards and quality systems.
  5. Demonstrated strategic thinking and professional networks in a specialty of pathology relevant to the laboratory and understanding of the role and function of public laboratories within the Australian and NSW health systems
  6. Advanced knowledge and operating competency with Laboratory Information Systems Microsoft Office applications and Quality Management Systems and proven data analysis skills
  7. Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service with a high level of interpersonal communication negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders and interact professionally with a diverse range of people at all levels.

This is a Category A position.
