Job Description

Job Role: Residential Support Worker
Location: Wolverhampton

Salary: Up to 32.4K (Circa Up to 32.4K including sleep-in allowance (70.47 per sleep-in with an average of 11 per month))

Service: Childrens Residential Care Home

Service Users: Young People age 6 to 17 with various needs such as Emotional Behaviour Disorder

Driving: You must have a full UK Manual Driving license and be aged 21 or over.

Access to a car: Is preferred but not essential

Job Opportunity: Residential Support Worker

Our client a rapidly expanding organization is seeking enthusiastic candidates to join their team in one of their childrens residential homes. This role offers a competitive salary including benefits such as a quality bespoke training package and generous remuneration for sleep-in shifts. They specialize in providing support to Children and Young People who have experienced early life trauma neglect or abuse and may exhibit challenging behaviours.

Main Duties:

  • Work collaboratively as a team member to provide young people with various activities support care and guidance using a positive parenting model.
  • Follow guidance from the Team Leader and senior colleagues to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the home providing structure and appropriate boundaries for the young people in their care.
  • Maintain a flexible approach to shift patterns accommodating changes to the rota at short notice.
  • Ensure that all risks are safely managed following company policies and procedures.
  • Undertake an in-depth quality and bespoke training package.
  • Act as an advocate for the young person using a positive parenting model.
  • Attend staff meetings and actively contribute to the development and improvement of the service model.
