Job Summary/Description:
We are looking for a News Producer to work on the WILX newscasts. The ideal candidate will be expected to write and produce multi-media news and features and also keep abreast of breaking news stories. Should have a keen eye for graphics and related visuals.
Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Responsible for writing story development and showcasing news content.
Aggressively pursuing news tips and reporting on breaking news.
Collaborating with others in the newsroom on developing stories.
Responsible for posting content to the stations digital platforms.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Applicants must be proficient in grammar punctuation and spelling as well as have excellent writing and communication skills.
Must communicate well with people work quickly on deadlines and have experience in news judgment.
Candidates with experience working in a newsroom or with digital and/or social media are preferred.
