Marion County Health & Human Services Crisis Center is seeking a dynamic highly motivated masters-level therapist to join our innovative and dedicated Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT). MCRT operates as a forward-thinking collaboration between law enforcement and mental health professionals to provide timely compassionate and effective responses to individuals experiencing behavioral health crises in the community.
MCRT consists of a law enforcement deputy and a qualified mental health professional (QMHP) working together to address in-progress crisis calls. Utilizing an unmarked vehicle to ensure discretion this team will respond to dispatches from both 911 and non-emergency police services.
The QMHP plays a vital role by quickly building rapport with clients in crisis conducting comprehensive assessments de-escalating tense situations stabilizing individuals in place when possible and connecting them with appropriate community resources.

Wages:
Mental Health Therapist 1: $28.67 - $38.42 hr
Mental Health Therapist 2: $34.78 - $46.60 hr
There is a 5% pay differential for riding with law enforcement.
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIESMental Health Therapist 1: Plans and carries out recreational social and skills training activities; performs case management and counseling functions with Adults in Custody (AIC); facilitates counseling and/or skills training groups; performs related duties as required. Primary responsibility of this class is case management and counseling without responsibility for developing and implementing specific programs in the community.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Mental Health Therapist 2 and 1: Works under the supervision of a supervisor who assigns work establishes goals and reviews the results obtained for overall effectiveness.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED
Mental Health Therapist 2 and 1: Supervision of others is not a responsibility of positions in this classification. Crisis Clinician 2 may act as Clinical Supervisor designee when needed. May assist in the supervision of practicum students and/or volunteers.
This position will be stationed in a vehicle with a sworn law enforcement officer and will respond to calls throughout Marion County.

Operates a motor vehicle; sees using depth perception; stands; sits; moves about the work area; bends forward; stoops; climbs 1 floor of stairs; reaches overhead; lifts pushes pulls and carries up to 20 lbs.; moves carts weighing up to 20 lbs.; operates a keyboard; speaks clearly and audibly; reads a 12 pt. font; distinguishes colors and shades; hears a normal level of speech; works in areas that may be exposed to heat cold humidity dust smoke vibration noise and chemicals; works in areas that may be wet or uneven. A ballistic vest (approx. 5-7 lbs.) is required to be worn under clothing at all times when responding in the community to a call for service.

PUBLIC SERVICE LOAN FORGIVENESS
Marion County is a qualifying public employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program. Through the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program full-time employees working at the County may qualify for forgiveness of the remaining balance on Direct Loans after 120 qualifying monthly payments under a qualifying repayment plan.
