Job Description

Full time Urgent Care Veterinarian: Exciting Opportunity Flexible Schedules

A partner hospital is seeking a full-time Urgent Care Veterinarian to join their team in Tucson AZ. The ideal candidate will have a DVM or equivalent degree be licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Arizona and have experience working in an urgent care setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide urgent care to animals diagnosing and treating a wide range of illnesses and injuries.
  • Prescribe medications and treatments to stabilize and manage conditions.
  • Perform surgeries as needed ensuring the safety and well-being of patients.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding their pets health treatment options and follow-up care.
  • Serve patients and clients with a relationship-based approach.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team and leadership to ensure the highest standards of care.
  • Encourage the growth of support staff through the LevelUp training program.

Qualifications:

  • DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited college (or successful completion of the ECFVG or PAVE program).
  • Active license in good standing to practice in Arizona (or ability to obtain a license).
  • Experience in urgent care settings ideally 1-3 years (new graduates will also be considered).
  • Proficiency in small animal medicine.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
