Overview
About the Role
The primary purpose of the Audiology Technician position is to provide newborn screening and follow-up services including but not limited to hearing screening and patient data management activities under the direction of the Lead Clinical/Senior Clinical Audiologist.
Responsibilities
What Youll Do
- Works collaboratively with faculty and staff to maintain a timely and organized flow of patients and visitors throughout their experience in Ambulatory Care Services and with University Hospital.
- Performs newborn hearing screening (in-patient)
- Performs out-patient hearing re-screenings and follow-up.
- Performs data collection and data entry.
- Maintains safe and clean environment; provides for the patients comfort and safety.
- Provides general office assistance including answering the telephone scheduling patients completing reports gathering statistical data using the electronic medical records system filing copying and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
What Youll Bring
- Masters or doctoral degree in Audiology required from an accredited program in Audiology. Certificate in Clinical Competence in
Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech and Hearing Association required. - Licensed in the State of New Jersey as verified by the
Board of Consumer Affairs. License must be maintained in good standing. Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience preferred. Must
meet licensure CEU requirements. - Must be CPR certified or complete certification within six (6) months of employment. Must be
computer proficient. Bilingual (Spanish Portuguese or American Sign Language) is helpful but not required.

Compensation
The expected salary range for this position is $ 16.49 $ 17.50 per hour in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Law; final compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
