Our client is a well-established company in the industrial construction sector known for providing specialized services to major clients across Atlantic Canada. They are seeking an experienced Controller to join their Dieppe office team reporting directly to the President. This is a permanent opportunity offering both stability and the chance to make a meaningful impact on the organizations financial health and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities for the Job:

  • Perform all day-to-day accounting operations (full cycle)
  • Oversee payroll and employee benefits GST/HST filings
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports
  • Perform and review account and bank reconciliations
  • Manage budgeting forecasting and cash flow processes
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements
  • Lead year-end processes and liaise with external auditors
  • Support senior management with ad hoc reporting and financial insights

Skills & Attributes for Success:

  • Post-secondary education in Accounting; CPA designation or progress toward one is a strong asset
  • Minimum five years of full-cycle accounting experience ideally within the manufacturing or construction industries
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks ADP Payroll and MS Office Suite particularly Excel
  • Comfortable managing all accounting processes independently as a sole accounting resource
  • Strong adaptability and willingness to step outside traditional accounting tasks
  • Proven analytical organizational and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy; ability to exercise independent judgment
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative hands-on work environment
