Job Description
- Location: Killeen TX 76543
- Assignment Duration: Permanent
- Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
- Guaranteed: 40 Hours
- Compensation: Based on experience.
Job Summary:
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will join a multidisciplinary surgical team in an outpatient setting providing high-quality care to patients with acute and chronic pain conditions. This role includes collaboration with surgical providers who specialize in various disciplines such as General Surgery Orthopedics Neurosurgery Otolaryngology Cosmetic Surgery Vascular Surgery Trauma Transplant Urology Plastics and other surgical specialties.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care to patients in a pain medicine outpatient setting
- Evaluate and manage acute and chronic pain under established treatment plans
- Collaborate with surgeons physicians and specialists across multiple disciplines
- Perform physical assessments prescribe medications and coordinate treatment plans
- Document patient interactions and maintain compliance with regulatory and facility policies
- Educate patients and families on pain management techniques and care plans.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner Program
- Experience: Open to NPs with less than 1 year of experience (New Grads Welcome)
Licensure & Certification:
- Texas RN License or Compact RN License
- Current Texas APRN License
- Board Certification as an APRN in the patient population of focus (e.g. FNP AGNP)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required within 30 days of hire or transfer)
