Job Title: Nurse Practitioner Location: Officer Training School (OTS) 501 LeMay Plaza Bldg 1487A Maxwell Air Force Base Montgomery AL 36112 Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Qualifications:
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Masters or Doctoral Nurse Practitioner Program
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 Years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner within the last 3 years in an outpatient clinic setting (Family Medicine Internal Medicine or Urgent Care)
  • License/Certification
  • Current unrestricted RN and NP license in any U.S. state or territory required
  • National certification as a Nurse Practitioner by ANCC or AANP required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA) required
  • U.S. Citizenship required
Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive primary care services to officer trainees cadets and staff at Officer Training School (OTS)
  • Conduct physical exams assess health status diagnose and manage common acute and chronic conditions
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide preventive care health education and counseling for health promotion and disease prevention
  • Document all patient care services in the electronic health record (MHS GENESIS ASIMS) accurately and timely
  • Coordinate care with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals as part of a collaborative team
  • Participate in public health and occupational medicine efforts including disease prevention and readiness programs
  • Provide medical recommendations on waivers policy development and medical support for contingency operations
  • Maintain current clinical competencies and complete continuing education as required
  • Ensure compliance with Air Force and MTF policies procedures and standards of care
  • Complete administrative duties associated with clinical operations including training and documentation
  • Remain flexible to rotate into different clinical areas within the medical group as needed
