The Administrative Assistant is a crucial member of the healthcare team responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the office environment. Responsibilities

  • Manage daily office operations and maintain an organized workspace.
  • Assist in scheduling appointments and managing calendars for healthcare professionals.
  • Handle patient inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Prepare and maintain patient records ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Assist in billing and insurance verification processes.
  • Support the team with administrative tasks including filing data entry and correspondence.
  • Facilitate communication between departments and with external stakeholders.
  • Prepare reports and presentations as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education in administration or healthcare is a plus.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in an administrative role preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint) and basic office equipment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and processes is an advantage.
