Company Segment: Listed NBFC
Experience: 10 years (preferably in NBFC/BFSI sector)
Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) / MBA (Finance) or equivalent
Role Overview:
The Company is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Financial Controller to lead the finance
function of our NBFC. This is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring financial integrity regulatory
compliance robust control frameworks and supporting strategic decision-making. The incumbent
will lead financial reporting treasury audits investor reporting and risk governance.
This is a high-impact hands-on role suited for an experienced finance professional with deep
understanding of the regulatory environment financial operations and capital markets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting & Control
Lead day-to-day financial operations including accounting reconciliations and periodic
closures.
Develop and enforce financial controls accounting policies and internal SOPs.
Ensure compliance with IND AS and other applicable financial reporting standards.
Manage statutory audits and ensure timely completion of financial statements.
Liaise with auditors tax advisors and regulators for financial disclosures and inspections.
Track key financial and operational metrics to provide actionable insights.
2. Treasury & Liquidity Management
Manage cash flow planning to ensure fund availability for business needs.
Optimize the treasury function to ensure liquidity interest cost efficiency and risk mitigation.
Engage with banks NBFCs DFIs and capital markets (CPs NCDs ECBs) for fundraising.
Maintain relationships with rating agencies trustees and financial intermediaries.
Monitor ALM working capital and credit line utilization aligned with AUM growth.
3. Fundraising & Investor Relations
Support in structured finance term loan and capital market transactions.
Support investor due diligence and reporting across equity and debt investors.
Represent the company in investor forums articulating business strategy and financial
health.
Support Company CEO and Group CFO in strategic transactions ratings and roadshows.
4. Regulatory & Compliance Oversight
Ensure end-to-end compliance with RBI guidelines and periodic regulatory filings (RBI
returns ALM Securitization etc..
Prepare for and manage RBI inspections internal and concurrent audits.
Strengthen internal controls and align risk frameworks with RBI expectations.
5. Budgeting Planning & MIS
Lead annual budget preparation and rolling forecasts in coordination with business heads.
Track performance against budgets and present variance analysis to management.
Develop dashboards and MIS to support strategic decisions and board reporting.
6. Leadership & Stakeholder Management
Build mentor and lead a high-performing finance team.
Present financials strategies and updates to the Board investors and regulators.
Partner with cross-functional teams to drive financial discipline and cost efficiency.
Candidate Profile:
Proven experience in a senior finance role within an NBFC or regulated financial institution.
Strong understanding of IND AS RBI regulations and NBFC compliance framework.
Demonstrated experience in fundraising treasury and investor relations.
High attention to detail analytical mindset and operational rigor.
Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders.
Exposure to credit risk internal audit and enterprise risk management preferred.
Strategic mindset with ability to operate in a fast-paced growth-focused environment.
