To be accountable for the credit risk management function (e.g. credit evaluation concentration risk industry exposure etc.) for Personal and Private Banking in line with the broader Risk objectives.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting Economic Finance engineering Mathematics or related
- MBA/CFA FRM will be added advantage
Additional Information :
Experience:
- 5-8 years experience of which 3 should have been in a managerial role developing credit risk management frameworks and managing a credit function within a large financial institution.
- Experience of Credit Risk assessment and evaluation including financial statements Credit Risk management acumen commercial acumen regulatory requirements for lending. Exposure to Credit strategy development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accountable for identifying specific provincial opportunities as required in support of the PBB Namibia strategy for Personal and Private Banking.
- Analyse risk to determine the qualitative and quantitative risk exposures by means of qualitative impact studies and quantitative risk modelling.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of the credit risk management strategy and framework by providing key provincial insights.
- Drive credit decisions within the prescribed risk appetite in support of the overall provincial income statement.
- Evaluate the external environment and assess the impact on the areas activities. Where required discuss any changes which will result in an overall strategic impact for the province thereafter make the agreed amendments to plans.
