Job Summary:
is a fast-growing high tech organization. We are a health insurance company with approximately 7000 members. We have a full-time position open for a Customer Service Representative in our Health Claims department.
Responsibilities:
This position consists of inbound and outbound calls regarding medical policies with policyholders and healthcare providers.
Includes verifying and explaining health insurance benefits with different types of supplemental health plans and describing exclusions and non-covered treatment.
Providing status of claims payments and requested information
Miscellaneous clerical duties are required as part of the roles and responsibilities of this position.
Requirements:
Strong customer service skills is a must.
Able to multi-task while taking inbound calls.
Must be able to operate on multiple computer screens in a fast paced environment.
Be able to meet metrics assigned to this position regarding abandonment rates talk time and speed of answer for inbound calls.
Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
Health claims and prior customer service is preferred by not required.
Strong computer skills with a typing speed of 50 WPM
Able to work with little supervision
Knowledge of Microsoft applications is a plus
