The Opportunity
As a Health Safety and Environment (HSE) Advisor you will play a key role in supporting project teams through the delivery of HSE management system requirements. This role involves assisting operational teams and managers to identify hazards minimise risks and maintain HSE standards through the life of the project.
In this role you will support the HSE Leadership by contributing to strategic and operational HSE initiatives aligned with the companys governing policy target and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct workplace inspections and audits
- Lead and support HSE incident investigations (e.g. ICAM methodology)
- Develop and review Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and procedures
- Carry out risk assessments and hazard analysis
- Monitor and report HSE trends and performance metrics
- Support delivery of HSE Reporting such as Monthly Annual ESG etc.
- Promote health awareness and manage workplace wellbeing programs
- Coordinate fitness-for-work initiatives (e.g. drug and alcohol testing)
- Support and Participate ISO45001 and ISO14001 audit programs
What Youll Need
- Construction White Card
- Certificate IV Diploma or Degree in Work Health Safety & Environment (or related field)
- Proven experience in HSE advisory roles within industrial or construction environments
- Knowledge of WHS and environmental legislation with ability to interpret and apply regulations
- Strong experience in incident investigation audit processes and risk management
- Skilled in HSE performance monitoring compliance and procedural development
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative team-first mindset
- Intermediate IT skills
- Current Drivers Licence and ability to travel across sites
