Who are we looking for

We are seeking a passionate Senior Youth Worker who is ready to make a lasting impact on the lives of young people leaving care. Working within our growing Launch 180 Program you will provide intensive case management and individualised support to young people are they transition through the care system and into supported independent living.

You will build strong authentic relationships - helping young people explore their goals in education employment and life skills guiding them towards a future where they can thrive independently.

This is more than just a job - it is an opportunity to stand alongside young people as they create their own path.

What can you expect to be doing

  • Support young people under the Guardianship as they move into supported independent living
  • Deliver intensive case management and tailored support across all areas of life
  • Build case plans that reflect each young persons goals culture and identity
  • Conduct regular safety and risk assessments and respond to changing needs

What do you need to bring

  • Experience in Youth Work or Social Work with an understanding of trauma informed care
  • Proven proficiency in working with diverse communities and cultures
  • Proven understanding of the Child Protection and Out Of Home Care system

Ability to work across a 7 day / 24-hour roster

(7:30am-3:30pm / 3:00pm-11:00pm / passive overnight shift 10:45pm-7:45am)

Qualifications

  • Certificate IV in Child Services or Child Youth and Family Intervention Youth Work or Qualification in or attaining in Social Work Psychology or other recognised Allied Health.

Special Conditions

  • Child Safe Environments Training
  • First Aid Certificate
  • NPC / WWCC
  • Willing to undergo a Psychological Suitability Assessment
  • Current drivers licence
