Scheduled Weekly Hours:
36Gundersen is seeking motivated and flexible candidates with a strong customer service background superior telephone and critical thinking skills who are energized by working in a fast-paced environment as a Spanish speaking interpreter.
What you will work:
This is a .9 FTE fulltime position working 72 hours every 2 weeks.
Shift hours will be completed between our La Crosse hospital and Onalaska clinic as needed.
Shift hours would be 7:30AM - 4:00PM or 8:00AM - 4:30PM depending on location.
On call rotation required for this position. On call hours would be 4:00PM Friday - 8:00AM Sunday.
Flexibility to train during the week until comfortable with the job duties
What you will do:
Relay medical information between speakers of two different languages
Ensure that information communicated by providers and staff is understood by the patient and family
Work cooperatively with other team members and departments

What you need:
High School Diploma or equivalency
A passing score on oral proficiency test through language testing agency in target language which evaluates knowledge of medical terminology (This is something Gundersen will provide to you if you are selected)
