Job Description
The Part-time Faculty of Nursing at Carthage College are responsible for didactic and clinical teaching in the departments nursing programs.
Duties:
- Assists nursing leadership in implementing the nursing curriculum ensuring relevant and cutting-edge content.
- Teaches courses as negotiated with nursing leadership.
- Makes recommendations to the team that support and enhance quality learning experiences for nursing students.
- Establishes or maintains an area of scholarly expertise and maintains area of clinical competence.
- Through day to day clinical activities with community partnerships maintain relationships that are consistent with support and advance the College and departments mission.
- Additional relevant duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Masters degree in nursing required.
- Holds a valid unencumbered license to practice professional nursing in the state of Wisconsin or eligible to obtain a Wisconsin license.
- Experience in teaching in a pre-licensure nursing program or course work in nursing education principles and techniques.
- Knowledge of teaching-learning principles.
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- Evidence of current clinical expertise.
