About The Position

Clinical Architecture is seeking a Software Test Engineer to join our team in the Indianapolis IN area. The Software Test Engineer is responsible for validating both Windows-based and web-based applications. This role is responsible for analyzing requirements creating test cases manual test execution communicating with the software development team any findings and documenting defects concisely. The Software Test Engineers focus is to ensure the code is accurate and the software functions as expected according to the business requirements. The role helps foster a culture of quality and produces quality software with high customer satisfaction.

This role is required to be on site at our Carmel IN Headquarters. Clinical Architecture offers ample flexibility to accommodate a healthy work-life balance.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze software requirements.
  • Design document and maintain test cases and other applicable test artifacts.
  • Peer review planning documents.
  • Execute tests on software to assess functionality and usability.
  • Traverse and validate database entries using SQL queries.
  • Detect track and re-test defects to ensure proper resolution is implemented.
  • Perform exploratory ad-hoc regression load and system testing.
  • Review end-user documentation providing feedback of gaps design flaws and wording issues.
  • Research and support customers reported issues.
  • Validate software performance.
  • Participate in design reviews.
  • Support the automation team with test scenarios and data.
  • Communicate with Engineering regarding reported issues.
  • Communicate with Product Management concerning requirements.
  • Provide feedback for process improvement to enhance quality.
  • Acquire an understanding of Clinical Architectures Products.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 3 years experience testing applications for usability functionality and performance.
  • CTFL or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Experience in writing SQL statements and traversing databases preferred.
