Responsible for Physical security and Security and Crisis Management (SCM) program for the protection of assets and employees Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.

Responsible for facility project management across all facets of the business. Coordinates contractor related tasks qualification process

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • At the site level: Implement and manage the GE Security and Crisis Management program identify and mitigate security and crisis management vulnerabilities and report security incidents in the GE security incident reporting system. Includes but not limited to the following Security tasks:

    • Meets annual security metrics established in conjunction with Corp. Security.

    • DT / Security Installation Contractor Management (ICS)

    • Security Perimeter / Fence Contractor Management (Double Bee)

    • Access Management Program (badge access system plus lock and key management).

    • Oversite of employee security badging process.

  • Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a discipline and analytical thinking to execute policy/strategy. Basic knowledge of related job disciplines.

  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.

  • Jobs at this level function with some autonomy but are subject to functional practices and precedents or are covered by well-defined policies or review of end results. The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality volume timeliness etc.).

  • Uses some judgment and has the ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated day-to-day problems. Has ability to prioritize information for data analysis. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.

  • Contractor Management / Safety Element Owner: Manages all contractors on site and ensures process in place for monitoring and maintaining contractor safety practices including pre-qualification process (ComplyWorks). Meets with contractors on site daily to ensure safety plans are in place.

  • Facilities Project Management / General Construction Execution

    • Project planning and execution includes developing scope of work obtaining quotes (budgetary) and completion of project from start to end.

    • P&E (Capital) Project Execution: Responsible for installation of new equipment purchased for the site including production machinery layout installation and start up.

    • Equipment Moves / Rigging: Executes equipment moves as dictated by decisions in the P&E Meeting

    • Structural Engineering Projects: Arranges for Professional Engineer to certify or stamp any structural changes to our facilities.

  • Cranes / Hoists Management: Includes layout / design installation inspection and general maintenance

  • HVAC Contractor Management: Ensures installation and maintenance of all HVAC systems

  • Landscaping / Snow Removal: Manages contractor responsible for these tasks and ensures scope of works are effectively executed.

  • Facility Lighting: Coordinates and executes upgrades to facility lighting (indoor and outdoor lighting projects)

  • Uniform / Rug Services: Interactions with contractor responsible for maintaining rugs and uniforms for Maintenance Techs (Fire Resistant Clothing).

  • Elevator regulatory compliance and safety inspections. Ensures annual inspection with DOHS and posting of annual cert.

  • Pest Control Contractor Management

  • Floor Related Projects (Repairs / Resurfacing)

  • Janitorial Services Management to ensure custodial tasks are conduction regularly meeting a high level of site sanitation and cleanliness.

  • Interfaces regularly with Sourcing Buyers to ensure all contractor invoices are paid as required to prevent interruption of services.

  • Completes purchase requisitions in SSS.

  • Safety Steering Team Member

  • Heavily participates in Management of Change process for projects impacted.

  • Fire Sprinkler System Contractor Management

  • Fire and Security Alarm Contractor Management

  • Purchasing card holder to complete purchasing outside of Sourcing database. Requires regular completion and submittal of expense reports.

  • Successfully navigate multiple electronic databases (e.g. Maximo SSS Gensuite Concur etc.).

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years Security & Site Security)

  • Minimum of 3 years Facility Management/Security experience
