Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead procurement execution by working closely with R&D teams to define material requirements and ensure timely acquisition of materials to meet project deadlines.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop and support supply chain strategies throughout the product lifecycle ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational needs.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for new product development ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Identify evaluate and select suppliers that meet quality cost delivery and innovation requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure collaboration and alignment on new product initiatives.
  • Negotiate contracts pricing and terms to achieve optimal value while maintaining quality and delivery standards.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and performance standards.
  • Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain to ensure uninterrupted product development and delivery.
  • Implement Lean principles and best practices to optimize sourcing processes and supplier performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Travel 15%

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 7 years of experience in Supply Chain)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Sourcing or GE Operations Management Leadership Program (OMLP) Graduate

  • Experience within the Aerospace & Defense industry

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Therefore for applicants who are not asylees refugees lawful permanent residents or U.S. Citizens (i.e. not a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) otherwise known as a U.S. Person) final offers will be contingent on the ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
